Lets Kiss & reincarnate
After death, the soul is believed to persist, departing one body to inhabit another. This passage is not passive but transitional; one form must release before another can receive, sustaining continuity through exchange. Salvador Dalí famously believed himself to be the reincarnation of his deceased brother, embodying a condition in which identity is both singular and doubled, continuous yet displaced.
The Reincarnation Jug translates this condition into embodied behaviour. Constructed with a single internal chamber and two opposing spouts, it resists solitary use: when approached by one person alone, it does not pour. Instead, the vessel is activated through direct contact, requiring two participants to engage simultaneously, using their mouths to guide its movement. As one pushes, the other must receive, creating a continuous oscillation through which water is released in turn.
